What can be done with old carpeting?
Homeowners replacing carpet in an established home must cut and tie the carpet into 4 foot bundles not weighing more than 40lbs. Place at the curb for bulk pick up.
Can all of my Recycling Items be placed in the same container?
Aluminum cans, glass containers, plastic, newspapers, junk mail, empty aerosol cans, mixed paper, office paper, and cardboard can all be placed in the same container. NO PLASTIC BAGS for comingled materials. Do not tie papers or cardboard. Please remove bottle caps.
Will my wood/construction debris be picked up?
All wood must be no longer than 4 foot and bundled no more than 12 inches. All nails must be removed. Where a building permit is required, the homeowner and/or contractor is responsible for disposal.
What can be done with the tree leaves?
Large biodegradable leaf bags are on sale in the Borough Clerks Office for this specific purpose for only $.50 each. Please secured the bags for pick up.
Recycling and Trash Cans CANNOT exceed 32 GALLONS and 50lbs. Containers shall be placed curbside before 5:00am on your scheduled day. Containers must be watertight with lids. Lids cannot be fastened to the container. ALL TRASH MUST BE IN A CONTAINER.
What can I do with my BULK trash?
Bulk trash is picked up during all non-holiday weeks. Please place bulk items at the curb on Tuesday evening. A bulk truck will make its way through the Borough and your items will be collected by Friday. Please remove doors off of refrigerators and freezers.
How can I dispose of my Brush & Clippings?
Brush must be bundled and tied in 4 foot lengths or less, weighing no more than 40lbs. Limbs cannot be more than 3.5 inches in diameter. Place at the curb for the next available pick up.
